Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept 30, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon in the First the First Methodist church, Methodist church in Sargent, with the Rev. Robert Frescoln officiating. Pallbearers were Vencial Huss, Leo DeBusk, Clifford, Stevens, Gerald Fellows, Don Loibert and Bert Amos. Interment was in Mount Hope cemetery, with Rhoad Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Phillips, daughter of Henry and Ella Fellows, was born July 14, 1882, on a farm northwest pf Sargent, and grew to womanhood in the community. She was united in marriage to James Riley Phillips on Feb. 26, 1902, and they began their home on a farm in the Sargent vicinity. They lived in town until moving to the Rest Haven nursing home in Broken Bow. She was a member of the First Methodist church and the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She is survived by her husband; five sons, Virgil of Owatonna, Minn., Seba, Keith and Ernest of Spokane, Wash., Kenneth of Fort Collins, Colo., two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Leesman and Mrs. June Klindworth of Sargent; 24 grandchildren, 65 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Ray Fellows of Mills, and a sister, Mrs. Paxton of Sargent. She was preceded in death by a daughter and three sons.
