Olson, whose untimely death of Thursday of last week was the result of injuries received in a runaway the previous Saturday, were held from the Lutheran church Saturday afternoon. Before the hour set for the service, all stores closed as a mark of respect, and when the remains were brought from the ranch home they were followed by a large number of country friends of the family. The church was crowded to the doors, and on every hand were evidence of the high esteem in which deceased was held by a multitude of friends and acquaintances. The interior of the edifice was a mass of flowers, house plants, and handsome offerings from sorrowing friends having been artistically arranged by the High School and Alumni of that body in respect to the husband of deceased, a member of the board. Rev. Engelstad delivered a touching sermon from Proverbs, Chapter 31, verses 10-31, followed by a beautiful eulogy of the dead. A picked choir rendered several favorite hymns and then began the final march to Mountain View. The pall bearers were: John T. Esp, Samuel Solberg, Svend Mauland ,Ole Birkeland, O. A. Fallang, Ben Mjelde, J. W. Bailey and F. M Lamp. The Knights of Pythias, of which the husband is a member, attended in a body. Mrs. Engegeborg Hausker Olson was born in Fillmore county, Minn., September 13, 1866, and was united in marriage to Theodore T. Olson on March 14, 1888. Of this union, 13 children were born, as follows: Mabel, Roy, Ellie Theressa, Chester Alvin, Otto Lester, Amy Caroline, Nora Gladys, Walter Ora, Cora Phyllis, Alice Edythe, Sadie Malinda, Ruby Mildred, and Clifford Donald. A mother, past her eightieth year, who came alone from Minnesota to attend the funeral, also mourns the loss of a daughter. Deceased was a most estimable woman a devoted wife and loving mother a friend of all, one whose untimely death cast a gloom over the entire community. Contributor: Julia Kinsey (48922386) •
