Description	:	Enid Delores (Holte) Opdahl, age 88 of Fargo, ND and formerly of Litchville and Valley City died April 22, 2014 at the Sanford Palliative Care Unit in Fargo. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM Monday, April 28th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Valley City. Enid was born born April 20, 1926 to Carl and Clara (Sand) Holte in the Benson Corner area of LaMoure County. She attended grade school in that area for eight years, graduated from Litchville High School, and Valley City State Teachers College. She taught grade school in Black Loam Township, LaMoure County. Enid spent time in Portland, OR doing office work for Montgomery Wards & Co. She moved back to the Litchville area and married Elmer Opdahl in 1946. Together they raised four children; two sons and two daughters. They farmed in that area for many years. Enid was also a postal clerk for 10 years in Litchville. While residing in Litchville she was a member of First Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Circle, and the VFW Auxiliary. Enid and Elmer moved to Valley City in 1982 where she was active at Faith Lutheran Church (where she was still a member). She was a quilter and enjoyed the many friendships she made there. She loved to sew and made sure her 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren had a hand sewn quilt. She also liked to dance and bowl. After her husband’s death in 1994 she made her home in Valley City, moving later to Fargo. She leaves to mourn her death a son Leon (LuJane) Opdahl, two daughters; Vonnie (Denis) Tweed and Sandy Anderson and a daughter-law LuAnn White, 3 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 3 great granddaughters, 12 great grandsons, and a soon to be great granddaughter; and a sister, Colette Holte. Enid was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmer, a son Gaylen, 2 sisters, Gladys Boelter and Janice Hemmer, and a brother Ray Holte.
