Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. William Boelter were held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church (Griswold) with Rev. David Seifert in charge. Interment will be in the Memory Garden of Valley City. Arrangements were made by Oliver’s Chapel of Valley City. Organist was Mrs. Elmer Lebahn and singers were Mrs. Elmer Lebahn and Gaylen Opdahl. Honorary pallbearers were Ed Rue, Arnold Velure, Ray Lebahn, Fred Bubach, George Bubach and Selmer Bubach. Mrs. Boelter’s death came as a shock to her family and our community. she has had no illness and her death came without any warning. She was enjoying bowling at the time. She had thrown one ball, and was waiting for the second ball for the second throw when she collapsed in the bowling alley, with heart failure. She was only 47 years old. She was born Gladys Jeanette Holte December 6, 1917, near Hastings, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Holte, who now live in Valley City. She moved with her parents to Benson Corners and was baptized and confirmed in the High Prairie Lutheran Church. She attended grade school at Benson Corners and graduated from LaMoure High School. On June 26, 1938, she was united in marriage with William Boelter. They have made their home in Gladstone Township since that time living on their fine farm and enjoying their recently built all electric home. Mrs. Boelter was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and of the ladies aid and a church circle. She taught Sunday School for 12 years and held several offices in the ladies aid. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, William Boelter; three daughters, Jacqueline (Mrs. Dave) Pollock of Oakland, CA; RoAnn, a student at N.D.S.U., and Eldean at home, a student in Litchville school; also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Holte of Valley City; her grandfather, John Sand of North LaMoure community; a brother, Raymond Holte of Los Angeles, CA; and three sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Janice) Hemmer of Valley City; Mrs. Elmer (Enid) Opdahl, LItchville and Miss Colette Holte of Valley City. She was preceded in death by an infant brother. Our community joins in extending sincere sympathy to the Boelter family in the untimely loss of their wife and mother.
