One of five children Enos and his siblings, Jessie Mae Oyler, Erlice (Jim) Kitto, Ivan (Mary) Oyler and Alleen (Cecil) Horan, grew up on the land that had been homesteaded by their grandfather, George Oyler in the late 1860's. Enos spent all of this 93 years on this land. On June 30, 1938, Enos married Bette Heist at Cinnabar Basin, Corwin Springs. They raised four children. Walter Oyler of Bozeman /Soldotna, Ark.; Truitt (Judy) Oyler of Anchorage, Alaska; Bette (Jeff)Wulf of Clancy and Bill (Judy) Oyler of Manhattan. Enos farmed and trapped, as well as built and ran a sawmill from the early 1940s through the 1960s. After selling the sawmill machinery, Enos kept his heavy equipment and started contract road building for lumber companies and the forest service. Later, he had several large trucks with flatbed and airslide trailers, with which his 'treasured' drivers delivered feed fertilizer and cement statewide. Enos was an avid outdoorsman, fishing, big game and bird hunting were favorite pastimes. He had trail hounds for mountain lion and bobcat hunting and drove many miles in pursuit of a 'hot lion track.' In his early hunting years, he dabbled in taxidermy and did many bird mounts along with some big game. After semi-retirement, Enos enjoyed working many hours in his machine shop, building and fixing things for his numerous friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed traveling around the area dousing wells. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife and children, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces nephews, and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel.
