Read More	Robert Frankenfeld RAPID CITY - Robert Blair Frankenfeld, 70, died Monday, Nov. 28, 1994, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. Mr. Frankenfeld was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Vermillion. He grew up in Vermillion and attended Vermillion High School and the University of South Dakota and its School of Law. He served as an ensign in the Navy during World War II. He married Phyllis Hatch on Aug. 30, 1947. They moved to Rapid City, where he worked as publicity director for the South Dakota School of Mines. He remained in Rapid City, where he worked as an attorney for most of his career. He was staff attorney for the Benedictine Sisters of St. Martin and served on the St. John's Hospital board. He formed a law partnership in 1963. He served as deputy state's attorney and city prosecutor. He worked for almost 20 years as a trust officer with Nor-west Bank. He was a founding member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, where he served as principal layreader for many years. His photographs appeared on album covers, postage stamps and magazines. In 1955, he helped pioneer western South Dakota's first nightly televised newscast. He is survived by his wife; five sons; eight grandchildren; and one sister. Memorial services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Rapid City. A memorial has been established with St. Andrew's Church. Osheim-Catron Funeral Home in Rapid City is in charge of the arrangements.
