Description	:	Obituary Eppa H. Carter was born in Page County, Virginia, March 5, 1824, and died March 20, 1910, aged 86 years and 15 days. He moved with his parents to Barker County, West Virginia, in 1842. From there he moved to Clay County, Indiana, in 1850, living there six years he came to Scotland County Missouri in 1856. Carter was born in Page County, Virginia, March 5, 1824, and died March 20, 1910, aged 86 years and 15 days. He moved with his parents to Barker County, West Virginia, in 1842. Ashton of Kirksville; Lloyd C., Joseph O., Clara C. Keathler and Owen J. Carter, all of Scotland County, besides several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He united with the Baptist Church in 1898, living faithful to his doctrine until death came. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. H. Willey at Antioch amid a large concourse of friends. "Uncle Epp," as he was familiarly known, was a good neighbor, unassuming, but always ready to help others in case of need. He was a staunch man generally, succeeding in all his undertakings.
