Description	:	Unity – Eric A. Vickery, 83, died Friday, March 22, 1991, at a Waterville hospital following a long illness. He was born May 28, 1907, in Unity, the son of James and Annie (Stewart) Vickery. He was educated in Unity schools and attended Shaw Business College in Waterville. He retired from farming a number of years ago. He was a selectman and an active citizen of the town. Vickery, 83, died Friday, March 22, 1991, at a Waterville hospital following a long illness. He was born May 28, 1907, in Unity, the son of James and Annie (Stewart) Vickery. He was educated in Unity schools and attended Shaw Business College in Waterville. He retired from farming a number of years ago. He was a selectman and an active citizen of the town. He was a member of the Unity Fire Department and was one of the founders of the Kanockolis Club for Sportsmen. He was a member of the Star in the West Masonic Lodge in Unity and was secretary for several years. He was an avid sportsman playing baseball, and a devotee of contract bridge and cribbage. He was a keen student of American History. His friends will remember him for his humor. He traveled extensively. He is survived by one brother, James Vickery of Bangor; several cousins. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lawry Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Kinney, pastor of the Unity Union Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Pond Cemetery in Unity.
