Description	:	Services were held Tuesday afternoon in Salem Lutheran Church for Frederick Paack of Nelson. He died at his home at 8:45 last Sunday morning as the result of a coronary attack suffered the previous day. The Rev. Mr. S. Haferman, church pastor, officiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Ernest Frederick (sic) William Paack, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Paack, was born June 25, 1885, in Volksdorf, Germany. Soon after his birth, he was baptized and after being instructed in the Christian faith he was confirmed in the Lutheran Church. On March 15, 1893, he came to America with his mother and two sisters. They settled at Syracuse, Nebr. Five years later Mr. Paack moved to Superior and was engaged in farming in the vicinity of Cadams. On April 7, 1915, he was united in marriage to Louise Wehmeyer at Salem Lutheran Church, the Rev. Gundel officiating. The Lord blessed this union with one daughter, Litha. In 1947 the Paack family moved to a farm near Nelson. On account of failing health, the deceased retired and lived in Nelson since 1952. He was still able to assist in farming and also worked for the city of Nelson for some time. The deceased was a faithful member of the Salem congregation, having served on the church council for six years. He faithfully performed his religious duties. He possessed a friendly disposition and was loved by his friends and neighbors. His parents and one sister preceded him into eternity. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, his daughter Litha, one sister, Mrs. Lena Grummert, and other relatives and friends. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, July 23, 1959
