Rev. M. 0. Kellison of Atchison officiated. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery, Valley Palls. A large number of friends were present to pay their last respects to one whose gentle life shall know no further sorrows. Although Mrs. Niemann had been in failing health for some time, her death was a severe shock to her many friends. Her maiden name was Ernestime Benedix, and she was born at Valley Falls. She was married to E.B. Niemann at Valley Falls Oct. 16, 1912. Her husband has been one of the leading business men of Potter for many years, being cashier of the Farmers State Bank. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband E.B Niemann, and daughter Marlene; three brothers William Benedix, Washington. D.C.; Herman Benedix, Madison, Col,; Albert Benedix, of California; three sisters, Miss Margaret Benedix, Kansas City; Mrs. Inez Burton, Cummings and Mrs Mabel Carroll, Alliance, Neb. She was well read and a pleasing writer. The files of The Kansan contain many interesting articles from her pen. She took a keen interest in the life of the community, and before her health began to fail several months ago, was a leader in church, school and lodge work. She was a kind hearted woman, and no service was too great for her to render to a friend or for the good of the community.
