He was born Jan. 28, 1900 in Illinois to Harry E. and Addie Morrison Dodson. He married Merle Lucille Draper on Jan. 15, 1928 at Kenwood Park in Cedar Rapids. A retired farmer and electrician, he moved to Lone Tree in 1912, served in the Navy in 1919 and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons, Cleo and Kenneth, both of Lone Tree; five grandchildren, Steve Dodson, Lori Dodson and Keith Dodson, all of Lone Tree, Kevin Dodson of Sunnyvale, Ca. and Cheri Colbert of Dubuque; and one sister, Mrs. William (Eva) Bell of Washington, Ia. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister and one brother.
