Foster Ave., died Thursday at 12:10 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital following an illness of several years. He was employed at John Morrell & Co. for 37 years prior to his retirement in 1959. The son of Woodson and Florabelle Leedom White, he was born in Schuyler County, Mo., on July 21, 1895. His marriage to Clara M. Spargur took place Nov. 9, 1917, at Lancaster, Mo. She survives. He was employed at John Morrell & Co. for 37 years prior to his retirement in 1959. The son of Woodson and Florabelle Leedom White, he was born in Schuyler County, Mo., on July 21, 1895. His marriage to Clara M. Spargur took place Nov. 9, 1917, at Lancaster, Mo. She survives. Mr. White was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and Local No. 1 UPWA-CIO. He also leaves two sons, Don R. and Bobby G. White of Ottumwa; a daughter, Mrs. Marcella Gillispie of Sterling, Ill.; seven granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and a half brother, Noel D. White of Phoenix, Ariz. Two daughters, Emma Mae in infancy and Mrs. Luella Piersol in 1959, a brother and a sister preceded him in death. The service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. B.A. Johansen, pastor of Bethany Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earl Beall, Gay Anderson, Leslie Peterson, Ray Maurer, Roscoe Bailey, and Dee Amos.
