THOMAS NEPHEW Stella Viola Barkhurst, daughter of Thomas B. and Mary Ella Barkhurst, was born in Cedar County, Iowa Mar. 23, 1878, and died at the University hospital at Iowa City, Oct. 15, 1926, after a lingering illness of 3 months, aged 48 years, 6 months and 22 days, and having lived in this county all her life. THOMAS NEPHEW Stella Viola Barkhurst, daughter of Thomas B. and Mary Ella Barkhurst, was born in Cedar County, Iowa Mar. 23, 1878, and died at the University hospital at Iowa City, Oct. 15, 1926, after a lingering illness of 3 months, aged 48 years, 6 months and 22 days, and having lived in this county all her life. Her mother preceded her last July. She was brought up in the Baptist church and died in the hope of a bright immorality. She was united in marriage with Mr. Thomas Nephew, Jan. 16, 1901. There were five children born to them. Harry, James William, Mary E., Anna Laura and Ruby Louise, all of this vicinity. There remain to mourn her departure and cherish her memory her husband and five children, one sister, Mrs. Harry Mattison, of West Branch, one brother, Walter B. Barkhurst, of Rochester, and other relatives and many friends. The heartfelt sympathy of the community is extended to the family in this time of bereavement. May the God of all grace comfort and sustain them.
