Description	:	Esther was the daughter of Joseph and Roanna (Shenberger) Bechtel. On Sept. 26, 1933, she married Carl E. "Jeff" Peters, who died April 10, 1987. She and her husband owned many businesses together, including a laundromat in Los Angeles, where they lived from 1940 until 1950. Due to Carl's construction work, they traveled extensively and lived in Pennsylvania, Indiana and Arizona, returning to California in 1960, where they purchased an apartment building. Due to Carl's construction work, they traveled extensively and lived in Pennsylvania, Indiana and Arizona, returning to California in 1960, where they purchased an apartment building. During this time, Esther worked at an exclusive dress shop in Pasadena, Calif. In 1964, the couple returned to Ashland, where Esther returned to Home Co. Department Store to work. In 1966, she and Carl established Willard Mobile Home Park, where they remained until 1973 when they retired to Loudonville due to Carl's health. Esther was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville, where she was active on many church committees over the years. She loved playing all types of card games, including bridge, euchre and pinochle. She is survived by one sister, Marjorie Griffin of Lynn Wood, Wash.; several nieces and nephews and their families, including, Louise Uhler of Wooster, Mary and Richard VanSickle of Loudonville, Tina and Maury Swisher of Mukilteo, Wash., Kathy Foster of Upland, Calif. and Mamie Heffelfinger of Loudonville. She was preceded in death by her husband and a niece, Donna Neidermeir.
