Description	:	Esther Mihulka, 92, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Columbus. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at 2:00 PM at St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Columbus with Pastor Chris McArdle officiating. Private family interment will be held prior to the service in the Gruetli Cemetery south of Monroe, Nebraska. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Luke's United Church of Christ or the donor's choice. Esther Mihulka was born January 8, 1920, in Duncan, Nebraska, to Fred and Lillie (Blaser) Balmer. She attended District #37 grade school and graduated in 1938 from Kramer High School in Columbus. Esther was united in marriage to Raymond Mihulka on June 25, 1940 in Fremont, Nebraska. To this union three children were born – Ray Jr., Sharon, and Charles. Esther was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ where she had taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and was a past member of Lydia Circle and Ladies Aid. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bible study, and reading a good book. Esther is survived by: Husband – Raymond Mihulka, Sr. of Columbus, NE Daughter – Sharon (Verlyn) Krumland of Kalispell, MT Son – Charles (Janice) Mihulka of Greeley, CO Daughter-in-law – Leanna Mihulka of Columbus, NE Sister – Lillian (Bob) Carlson of Columbus, NE Sister – Lorena Wilson of Columbus, NE Sisters-in-law – Nancy Wolf, Marge Mihulka, and Thelma Garbers Brother-in-law – Fritz Mihulka Seven Grandchildren Eleven Great-Grandchildren Many nieces and nephews Esther was preceded in death by: Parents – Fred and Lillie Balmer Son – Raymond Mihulka, Jr. Brothers – Reinhold (Catherine) Balmer, Rev.
