Read More	The Genoa Leader-Times, February 22, 1940, p. 1, col. 2 Funeral Rites Saturday for Mrs. J. P. Starr E. E. Ella Wilson Starr, daughter of Wm. W. and Mary Barringer Wilson, was born March 18, 1859 in Washington County, Tennessee and was called to her heavenly home early Thursday morning, February 15, 1940 near the end of her 81st year of life. In 1884 she came with her parents to Nemaha County, Nebraska where she met and was married to J. F. Starr on November 30, 1884. To this union were born six children, two of whom died in infancy. In 1891 the Starrs moved to Genoa where the family home has been since and where Mrs. Starr has won many loyal and faithful friends. Her husband passed to his eternal reward in 1926 and since that time she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Victor Battles. Early in life Mrs. Starr accepted Christ as her Saviour and united with the Methodist Church and has been a faithful earnest Christian during the many years of loving ministry and Christ-like influence. Mrs. Starr was a woman of deep faith and lived in the joyous consciousness of His presence and love. She was one of the dearest and most loving mothers not only to her own children but also to those of her husband by a former marriage. In her home, in her community, in her church and in her personal life she was a true Christian in the truest and deepest meaning. She leaves to cherish her memory and to look forward to meeting her in the Morning-land her chilren: Mrs. Sabra Battles of Genoa, Nebr., Mrs. Hattie Burgess of Omaha, Nebr., Will Starr of Overton, Nebr., Ernest Starr of Cedar Rapids, Nebr., Hugh Starr of Burwell, Nebr., Frank Starr of Rochester, N. Y. and Rev. John Starr of Watseka, Illinois; three sisters: Mrs. Rose Hawthorne of Fremont, Nebr., Miss Sabra Wilson of Topeka, Kans., and Miss Frank Wilson of Muncie, Pa., one brother, Ernest Wilson of Chanute, Kansas; 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and other relatives and a large circle of friends. Funeral services were conducted in the Methodist Church last Saturday by the Rev. O. W. Strombon assisted by the Rev. L. A. Indlecoffer. Miss Norma Lewis sang as a solo Mrs. Starr's favorite song "Face to Face" and Rev. and Mrs. Indlecoffer and Rev. and Mrs. Strombom sang two quartet numbers. Burial was made in Valley View Cemetery.
