She passed away at the Community Memorial Hospital, Postville, on Saturday, December 16, 1961, at the age of 58 years. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at an early age. She united with the Community Presbyterian Church of Postville on July 1, 1956. She was united in marriage to Clifton Cooley. She passed away at the Community Memorial Hospital, Postville, on Saturday, December 16, 1961, at the age of 58 years. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at an early age. She united with the Community Presbyterian Church of Postville on July 1, 1956. She was united in marriage to Clifton Cooley. To this union were born three sons Eugene, Stanley and Billy, and one daughter Norma. Mr. Cooley passed away in 1940 at Dunlap, Illinois, where the family was then making their home. The family returned to this vicinity and made their home at Clermont. In 1942, she was united in marriage to Aulden Cornish. For the past 17 years, Mr. and Mrs. Cornish have made their home in Postville where they have both been employed. Mrs. Cornish was a member of the Naomi Circle of the Community Presbyterian Church and the Rebecca Lodge. Mrs. Cornish has been in failing health for several years and was bedfast for the past five and one half months. These months were spent in the hospital and at home. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her daughter, Norma, and a grandson. Surviving are her husband Aulden, and her three sons, Eugene, Stanley and Billy; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Ruth, (Mrs. Ewald Lyngaas); four brothers, Leif, Carsten, George and Howard Larson, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Community Presbyterian Church, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites.
