Mrs. Hickerson is survived by a daughter Mrs. Carlett (Bill) Glaser of McComb. There are 8 grandchildren AmyClymer, Cresta Montgomery, Michelle Hickerson, Carl D. Hickerson III, Faith Hickerson, Heidi Ewald, Stephanie Barger, Kimberly Brunner, and there are 27 great grandchildren; and 1 great- great- grandchild. Also surviving are 2 sisters Bessie Moffitt of Findlay and Troas Downing also of Findlay. Helen is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she loved. Helen had 2 special cats that she loved as well; Angel and Lucy. She was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Charles Downing, a son Carl D. Hickerson Jr. and a grandson Eric Glaser. Helen retired from Blanchard Valley Hospital where she had been a nurses aid for 28 years. She was a member of the McComb United Methodist Church; and the N.W. Ohio Antique Machinery Association. It is Helen's request to be cremated and the family is honoring her wishes. The family will receive friends at the HARTLEY FUNERAL HOME in McComb on Monday July 28, 2008 from noon until 4:00 p.m. at which time there will be a memorial service at the funeral home with the Revs. Chris Mustard and Howard Mayne officiating. Immediately following the memorial service inurnment will take place at McComb Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Bridge Home Health and Hospice or to Cancer Patient Services.
