A Garden City resident since 2003, moving from Russell, Mrs. Bitter was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Galatia. She loved cooking and making quilts for family and church projects. On Jan. 7, 1940, she married Gerhardt Bitter in Susank. He died Dec. 2, 2007, in Garden City. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Hubert Radke; and a sister, Rachael Keister....
