Passed away at the West Point hospital Monday, February 14, 1938, age 34 years. She was united in marriage to Harold Nelson on September 2, 1937. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her untimely passing, her father and mother, seven brothers, Jack of Rosalie, Claud and Ernest of Winnebago , Raymond of Nelson, Nebraska, Lester of Logan, Iowa , Glen of Omaha, and Donald of Decatur; four sisters, Mabel Larson of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Viola Olson of Walthill, Iva and Phyllis of Decatur, and also a number of other relatives and a host of friends. Some years ago Mrs. Nelson united with the Federated Church of Decatur of which she was a member at the time of her death. She was a patient sufferer through her long illness, and throughout her life time maintained a loving and sunny disposition. She was sympathetic and kind, always extending a helping hand to all who needed her. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Lyons with Rev. C. O. Troy in charge. Interment was made in Lyons cemetery.hhw ¹ She is actually the oldest child, not the youngest.
