Nephew, 85, Tipton will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at the United Methodist church in Tipton, with Dr. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Jim Schneider will be the vocalist and Sylvia Gould the organist. Pallbearers are Stanley Nephew, Loren Peet, Ralph Yule, Floyd Vesley, William Krummel and Raymond Eilers. A memorial fund has been established. Mrs Nephew died Jan. 25 at Beverly Manor Nursing Home in Iowa City following a brief illness. The daughter of Oliver and Susan Yule Johnson, she was born Aug. 21, 1903 in Tipton. She graduated from Tipton high school and attended the University of Iowa for 2 years. She married Harry Nephew July 3, 1924 in Tipton. Mrs. Nephew was a bookkeeper and a homemaker. She was a member of the Ida Mansfield Circle of King's Daughters, a 50 year member of the PEO, a 50 year member of Eastern Star and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the United Methodist church. She is survived by a son, Oliver, Geneva, Ill.; 4 grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and a half-sister.
