Knight was born July 17, 1918, at Philip, South Dakota, to Earl and Jessie (Neville) Knight. She grew up and received her education in the Milesville area. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip at the age of 70 Ethel B. Knight was born July 17, 1918, at Philip, South Dakota, to Earl and Jessie (Neville) Knight. She grew up and received her education in the Milesville area. She was united in marriage to Ervin "Babe" Nesheim in 1934 and they later had three children. In 1946 she was united in marriage to Ceril "Cy" Anderson. They lived in the Philip and Milesville area until moving to the Black Hills in 1961. Later they moved into Rapid City where Ethel worked as a cook at Wong's Cafe for 10 years. After her husband's death in 1973, she returned to Philip. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Philip, the Get Together Club, and the Bad River Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed crafts and was an avid card player. She had been playing bridge in Philip the afternoon of her death. Survivors include her special friend, Wayne Kjos of Philip; one son, Ervin Nesheim of Pleasant Hill, California; one daughter, Ruby (Mrs. Huey) Huston of Midland; her mother, Jessie Knight of Shelton, Washington; two brothers, Amos "Bud" Knight of Wright, Wyoming, and Milo Knight of Philip; three sisters, Laura (Mrs. Stanley) Kjar and Myrtle (Mrs. Robert) Hawthorne, both of Shelton, Washington, and Elva (Mrs. Gordon) Cantlay of Sacramento, California; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Cy, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mavis, in infancy; one grandson, Donald Huston; two brothers, Clinton Knight and Edwin, in infancy.
