She married Crockett County farmer William Robert "Bob" Ball on March 22, 1908 and apparently had five children, Willie Jr., J.C., Margaret, Cleatus Fain and Wallace. It's unclear when Bob died. They both are buried at Friendship (Sudbury) Cemetery in Friendship, Tenn. Obituary December 1977, Crockett Times: Services for Mrs. Ethel Gertrude Ball, 85, were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Funeral Home. Burial was in Sudbury cemetery.
