Wapello, died Thursday at 11:25 a.m. at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines following an illness of one week. She was the daughter of Wallace and Jane Adams Grandy, and was born at Woden June 13, 1902. She had been a resident of Ottumwa most of her life. She was married to Harvey Herman Sept. 27, 1919. He died June 25, 1929. In 1954, she married Earl Dennis, who died in 1956. Surviving are one son, George Ernest Herman of Ottumwa; five daughters, Mrs. Helena Albertson and Mrs. Kathryn Roberts of Ottumwa, Mrs. Mary Burton of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Ruth Wodo [sic] and Mrs. Ethelda Valadez of Des Moines; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son in infancy, three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. Wapello St., who died at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines Thursday morning, will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Paul Williams, pastor of the Finley Avenue Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Blue Point Cemetery near Richland. Pallbearers will be Gary Albertson, Lawrence Albertson, Cecil Albertson, Jack Roberts, George Underwood and Donald Pearson. Survivors include a son, George Ernest Herman of Ottumwa; five daughters, Mrs. Helena Albertson and Mrs. Kathryn Roberts of Ottumwa, Mrs. Mary Burton of Phoenix, and Mrs. Ethelda Valadez and Mrs. Ruth Wood, both of Des Moines; twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
