Description	:	Born Jan. 20, 1916, daughter of Jesse and Julia Stonerock Keefer on a farm northwest of Molt. Attended Molt school, first year of high school at Billings Polytechnic, then three years at Park City, graduating in 1934. One year college at Poly and one year at Eastern. On June 4, 1937, she married Owen Ketchum. While Owen was in the Army, she attended Western Union School. She went to San Francisco and worked until Owen was discharged from military service. They went to western Montana where they purchased a cafe in Big Fork. They ran that for a few months... Read More	Born Jan. 20, 1916, daughter of Jesse and Julia Stonerock Keefer on a farm northwest of Molt. On June 4, 1937, she married Owen Ketchum. While Owen was in the Army, she attended Western Union School. She went to San Francisco and worked until Owen was discharged from military service. They went to western Montana where they purchased a cafe in Big Fork. They ran that for a few months then traded it for some cows. Farmed west of Park City for a year then moved into Park City when Owen became manager of Yellowstone Grain Co. While living in Park City, they raised three children. In Park City she was a member of Park City Garden Club also member of WSCS, which she served as President. She lived in Park City for 10 years then moved to Molt. She worked as a housewife for many years. She was a 50 yr member of Order of Eastern Star. Served as Worthy Matron of Bitterroot Chapter 96 for two years. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile and of the Molt Congregational Church. Served as President of Republican Womens Club and member of Stillwater Historical Society. Her parents, brother Bill Keefer, grandson Michael and her husband of almost 70 years predeceased her. Left to remember her are her children Sam (Gail), Betty Blattie (Harold), Warren (Lynn & friend Paige) She was Grandma to eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mom passed peacefully on Sept. 16, 2014, in Helena where she had resided for the past three years. Funeral services will be Friday Sept. 19, at 2 p.m. at Smiths West. Burial will be in Park City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Molt Congregational Church, MT, Museum of the Rockies, Columbus MT, or charity of choice.
