Etta was born Aug. 2, 1904, in Gillette, Wyo., the daughter of Edwin and Lydia (Harvey) Grossman. She worked at several guest ranches in the West for more than 40 years before moving to Mason City a few years ago where she lived at Pilgrim Place. Etta was a member of First United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Moose Lodge. She is survived by her son, Sherman Zea and his wife, Maxine, of Rockwell; daughter-in-law Ruby Zea, Mason City; grandchildren, Tom Zea, Susan Kundert, Debra Weese, Lynette Ries and Jacqueline Frenz; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Justin, Mitchell, Matthew, Lauren, Joy, Christopher, Kelsey, Isaac and Nicholas; great-great-grandchildren, Blake and Benjamin; one sister, Maude Kuzara of Massachusetts; and one nephew and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one son, Lowell.
