Description	:	Mrs. Thomas Barkhouse 1926 Bridgewater Bulletin The death occurred at the Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater, on August 5th., of Etta, beloved wife of Thomas Barkhouse of Upper New Cornwall. Deceased was taken suddenly ill and was obliged to undergo a critical operation; for a few days she rallied and great hope was entertained for her recovery, but a sudden change took place and medical help was of no avail and in less than a week of illness, passed to the Great Beyond, at the age of 41 years. Read More	Mrs. Thomas Barkhouse 1926 Bridgewater Bulletin The death occurred at the Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater, on August 5th., of Etta, beloved wife of Thomas Barkhouse of Upper New Cornwall. Deceased was taken suddenly ill and was obliged to undergo a critical operation; for a few days she rallied and great hope was entertained for her recovery, but a sudden change took place and medical help was of no avail and in less than a week of illness, passed to the Great Beyond, at the age of 41 years. She was attended in her last hours by the Rev. Mr. Mosley of Bridgewater. Deceased was a member of the Methodist Church and will be greatly missed in the community as a neighbour and church worker. She was a daughter of the late William Fancy of Upper New Cornwall, who predeceased her one year ago.Much sympathy is extended to the sorrowing husband. She also leaves to mourn her loss two sisters, Della, Mrs. Edward Oikle of Berwick; Louise, Mrs. Clarence Hirtle of Oakland; one brother, Arthur Fancy of Upper Northfield; a stepbrother; a stepsister, Alma, Mrs. Everett Whynott, who resided with her; a stepbrother, Cecil Fancy, who is in the United States at the present time. Besides the above mentioned she leaves a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home by the Rev. George Beck. Interment took place at Union Square.
