Description	:	Eugene Brainard Wood, the son of Bert and Edna (Harkins) Wood, was born on July 25, 1922 south of Superior, Nebraska in the Montana Township in Jewell County Kansas. He passed away on November 14, 2008 at the Superior Good Samaritan Society in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 86 years. Eugene graduated from Superior High School. He was united in marriage to Irene Wilton on August 28, 1945 at Belleville, Kansas and to this union three children were born. Eugene lived his entire life in the Superior area. He was a member of the Eagles and Elks both of Superior. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Irene, one son, Arnold, and one brother, Mitchell and one sister Margaret Eisenman. Survivors include his son, Chadron and wife Jenell of Superior, Nebraska and daughter, Lindel Barry and husband Richard of Webber, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Amber, Aaron, Jessica and Sarah Wood, Shel, Scott and Shawn Barry, and five great grandchildren, Lane, Taylor, Jacob, Garrett and Rion Barry along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a many friends.
