Description	:	Eugene Clarence Uphold, 82, of Friendsville, MD, died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at his residence. Born June 30, 1931, in Friendsville, he was the son of the late Clarence and Rhubena (Friend) Uphold. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Uphold and June Landon. Mr. Uphold was a timberman for Sisler Lumber and Interstate Lumber Co. He is survived by his wife, Norma Grace (DeWitt) Uphold; one son, Jim E. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Donnie Savage officiating. Interment will be in the Blooming Rose Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Garrett County. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com.
