Eugene Henry Morrow was born January 1, 1936, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Walter and Helen (Eggert) Morrow. He graduated from Springdale High School with the Class of 1954. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from January 6, 1955 to December 17, 1957, both overseas and stateside. He married Joyce Gaylene Anderson on January 24, 1960, in Tipton. He was employed as a mechanic in Tipton, until his retirement and the couple moved to Coralville. Joyce preceded him in death on March 3, 2020. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Tipton. He had a love for cars for many years. He built race cars, stock cars and loved going to the drag races in Cordova, Illinois. He also attended the Indianapolis 500 speed races several times. Above all, he loved the time he spent with his family. Surviving are one daughter, Gina Morrow of Fairfield, CA; one son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Morrow of Surprise, AZ; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, James (Shirley) Morrow of Iowa City and Warren (Editha) Morrow and Gary Morrow, both of Alamo, TX; and one sister-in-law, Nancy Anderson of Tipton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one great-granddaughter, Skylar Morrow, one sister-in-law, Carol Morrow and one brother-in-law, Marvin Anderson. Fry Funeral Home
