He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Unified School District 431. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 331, AF&AM, and American Legion Post 286, all Hoisington. His other survivors include two sons, Roger, Roanoke, Texas, and Kelly, Valley Center; four brothers, Marvin, Hoisington, Kenneth, Holyrood, Robert, Topeka, and J. Leonard, Ellsworth; sister Louise Woods, Ulysses; and two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a sister, Henrietta Holmes. The funeral will be 10 a. m. Monday at the Hoising First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joseph Coachman officiating. Burial will be in Hoisington Cemetery. Visitation is 9-9 today at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, and 9:15 a. m. Monday until service time at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Kroesch Scholarship Fund or to the donor's choice.
