She was born on May 6, 1924 in Luray and was a daughter of the late Masby Cleveland Griffith and Mary Susan fox Griffith. Mrs. Sours worked for Wrangle for 30 years as a gerber cutter and was a member of the Beth Eden Lutheran Church. On July 20, 1940, she married Elbert C. Nichols, who died on April 2, 1970. She was born on May 6, 1924 in Luray and was a daughter of the late Masby Cleveland Griffith and Mary Susan fox Griffith. Mrs. Sours worked for Wrangle for 30 years as a gerber cutter and was a member of the Beth Eden Lutheran Church. On July 20, 1940, she married Elbert C. Nichols, who died on April 2, 1970. On Dec. 26, 1973, she married virgil C. Sours who survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Martha Shackelford of Luray; a son, Earl C. Nichols of Luray; a stepson, Larry Sours of Luray; a brother, Floyd C. Griffith of Winchester; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand-child. She was preceded in death by a brother Hurbert F. Griffith. A funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. James R. Daley. Family will receive friends at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, from 7 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at 11 a.m. at funeral home. Burial will be at Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
