He was born on Oct. 2, 1923 in Luray and was the son of the late Henry Sours and Mattie Sours. Mr. Sours was a member of Beth Eden Lutheran Church. He worked for Luray Textile for 40 years as a mechanic. His wife, Eula Frances Sours, preceded him in death. He is survived by a son, Larry Sours and wife Diane, of Luray ; a stepson, Earl C. He was born on Oct. 2, 1923 in Luray and was the son of the late Henry Sours and Mattie Sours. Mr. Sours was a member of Beth Eden Lutheran Church. He worked for Luray Textile for 40 years as a mechanic. His wife, Eula Frances Sours, preceded him in death. He is survived by a son, Larry Sours and wife Diane, of Luray ; a stepson, Earl C. Nichols and wife Annabell, of Luray, a stepdaughter, Martha Shackelford and husband Jesse, of Luray; a brother, Jim Sours of Culpeper; and a sister, Mary Huffman, of Stanley; four grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth Dovel, Dorothy Blosser, Anne Woodard and Edith Fowler; and four brothers, Carson, Raymond William and Claude Sours. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the Bradley Funeral Home, Inc. by Rev. James R. Daley. Burial was at Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray, Military honors at the gravesite was by VFW Comer Jones Post 621.
