Description	:	Eunice Lowe Eunice Orene Lowe, 69, of Volin, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999 at the Avera McKennan Hospice Center in Sioux Falls, after a lengthy illness of cancer. Eunice Orene Eide was born Sept. 21, 1930 in rural Irene, to Oscar and Esther (Drugley) Eide. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Meldal Lutheran Church, rural Irene. She attended rural Sletten School and graduated from Irene High School in 1948. She married Elmer Lowe June 21, 1951 at Meldal Lutheran Church. Read More	Eunice Lowe Eunice Orene Lowe, 69, of Volin, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999 at the Avera McKennan Hospice Center in Sioux Falls, after a lengthy illness of cancer. Eunice Orene Eide was born Sept. 21, 1930 in rural Irene, to Oscar and Esther (Drugley) Eide. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Meldal Lutheran Church, rural Irene. She attended rural Sletten School and graduated from Irene High School in 1948. She married Elmer Lowe June 21, 1951 at Meldal Lutheran Church. She was a member of Meldal, Trondhjem and Calvary Lutheran Churches. She was very active in her church and served on various committees of the WELCA. She was a legal secretary for the Feldman Law Office and later for the Ernest Crockett Law Office of Yankton. She was also employed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife at the Gavins Point Dam in Yankton. Following, she was office coordinator for Farmers Home Administration, Yankton for 32 years, retiring in 1994. She is survived by her husband: Elmer, of Volin; her mother: Esther Eide of Volin; and one sister: Mrs. Glen (Delories) Rosenbaum of Elk Point; four nephews: David Rosenbaum, Mark Rosenbaum and family, and Michael Rosenbaum and family, all of Sioux Falls, and Daniel Rosenbaum and family of Jefferson. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Irene. Burial followed in the Meldal Cemetery, rural Irene. Visitation began at 4 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. The family was present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Hansen Funeral Home in Irene.
