Read More	Coon Rapids Enterprise December 13, 1918 Mrs. Eva Scott Jones, wife of W. L. Jones and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. D. Scott, died Sunday morning, November 8, at the 2 o'clock from the prevailing disease which developed into pneumonia. She was sick for three weeks or more and struggled bravely to recover but was unable to overcome the effect of the disease. She leaves to mourn her death her parents and three brothers, the bereft husband and two daughters, aged 5 and 3 years. The husband and two children were sick with the same disease during the illness of the wife and mother and for a time all were in a serious condition but fortunately are recovering. The deceased was born and reared in Coon Rapids where she formed many friendships and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn her passing. She received her education in the Coon Rapids public schools. She was of modest and retiring disposition, strongly devoted to her family and relatives and friends and her death brings universal sorrow. The husband and children and other near relatives have the deepest sympathy of everyone. The following notes were handed us by Rev. J. C. Harris, who conducted the funeral service at the residence Tuesday afternoon Eva Beatrice Scott Jones, the only; remaining daughter of Mr. and Mrs Geo. D. Scott, was born May 9, 1888, in Coon Rapids, where she had always lived, and died the morning of December 8, 1918. Her death was due to pneumonia following influenza. In her sickness she was conscious to the last, and her passing was happy and peaceful. Eva was a Christian young woman having been for years an earnest worker in the Presbyterian church and Bible School. She was a graduate of the Coon Rapids' schools, and leaves a host of friends who with her relatives mourn her early death. She was married April 12, 1911, to Wm. Lester Jones. To them was born two children, Esther Louise and Helen Irene. As she was devoted to her parents and to her home life with them, so in her married life she was a faithful wife and devoted mother. Besides her bereaved husband and two little girls the immediate relatives are the parents and three brothers—Jesse, Alpha and William, and her grandmother Mrs. J. M. Scott, all of Coon Rapids. Brief services were conducted at the house by J. C. Harris Tuesday afternoon. The many beautiful floral offerings and the sympathy of friends is much appreciated by the bereaved ones.
