Description	:	Eva V. Jackson, the oldest child of Walter and Eliza Watts, was born in Dyersville, Delaware County, Iowa on Oct. 1, 1875. She passed away Tuesday evening on Feb. 8, at Spencer, Iowa after a lingering illness. She moved with their parents, and the age of 12 years to Alta, Iowa. Jackson, the oldest child of Walter and Eliza Watts, was born in Dyersville, Delaware County, Iowa on Oct. 1, 1875. She passed away Tuesday evening on Feb. 8, at Spencer, Iowa after a lingering illness. She moved with their parents, and the age of 12 years to Alta, Iowa. They resided at Alta for four years, then moved to Early, Iowa where she attended public school. On May 29, 1895 she was united marriage to Ruben J. Jackson. To this union two sons were born, Fay A. of Spencer and James R. who died at birth. She became a member of the Methodist Church at Alta under the pastorate of Rev. L. J. Whitney. She has always been a faithful member wherever she maintained her home. For many years she worked in the Missionary Societies, the Sunday school, and the W.S.C.S. She enjoyed working in the church and always was glad to see any advancement in the different departments. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Starr, Evening Shade chapter No. 116 at Spencer. Her husband passed away in their home at Early, Jan. 21, 1934. Since that time she is made her home with her son, Fay A. and family. She leaves to mourn her departure her son and wife; three grandchildren, James Donovan of East Lansing, Michigan, Ardyce E. Westgaard of Whiting, Iowa and Robert Dale of Des Moines; seven great-grandchildren; one brother W. Irvan Watts of the Manson, Iowa and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held a Grace Methodist Church of the Spencer Friday afternoon at 130, Rev. L. H. Preul officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery Early, Iowa. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Elbert and Guy Watts of Alta, Edgar Jackson of Sioux City, Louis W. Anderson of Hartley, Millard Huston and Howard L. Fritz of Spencer.
