She passed this life on March 18, 1983, at the Adair County Memorial Hospital, Greenfield. She had been a long-time resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Fontanelle prior to her death. Her entire life was spent in the Fontanelle community and she was always interested in community affairs. Faye attended school at Fontanelle and was graduated from the Fontanelle Public High School with the class of 1912. She played an active role in the alumni association of the school and served as secretary for many years. Faye was a member of the First Congregational Church of Fontanelle. She was a 50-years member of both the Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine, and a member of Cora Rebekah Lodge No. 143. She was very active in all of these organizations as long as her health permitted. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Willard and Jay and a sister Emma, and brother Raymond and sister Bernice who died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her passing a number of relatives and friends. Services were held at the Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle on Sunday, March 20, with Rev. Ross Shinn officiating. Mrs. Cynthia Campbell, organist, accompanied Mrs. Evelyn Sivadge, soloist on "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Garden." Pallbearers were Dean Griffith, Fred Burcham, Elmer Woodside, Deane Darrow, Harvey Wallace, and Ralph Wollenhaupt. Interment was in the Fontanelle Cemetery. Eastern Star services were conducted by the Fontanelle Chapter No. 310 O.E.S.
