Description	:	Eva Lone (Duxbury) Nitz Breneman passed away Sept. 16, 2014 at Bethany Home in Brandon, SD. Eva was born Sept. 20th, 1920 in Canova, SD to Marvin and Matilda (Gough) Duxbury. She grew up on a farm near Salem and graduated from Salem High School in 1938. She married Orville Nitz on Nov. 15th, 1945 in Howard, SD. Orvile passed away in 1964, and she later met her second husband Merle Breneman. They were married in Luverne, MN on April 14th, 1966. Read More	Eva Lone (Duxbury) Nitz Breneman passed away Sept. 16, 2014 at Bethany Home in Brandon, SD. Eva was born Sept. 20th, 1920 in Canova, SD to Marvin and Matilda (Gough) Duxbury. She grew up on a farm near Salem and graduated from Salem High School in 1938. She married Orville Nitz on Nov. 15th, 1945 in Howard, SD. Orvile passed away in 1964, and she later met her second husband Merle Breneman. They were married in Luverne, MN on April 14th, 1966. Besides being a farmer’s wife and mother, Eva worked at many places over the years including the Canova nursing home and a coat factory but the job she loved the most was being a nanny to several families in the Salem area. Merle passed away on March 28th, 1979. Eva eventually retired to Sioux Falls, SD and lived in the Western Heights Apartments. She spent many enjoyable years there and made lots of friends. She taught exercise classes, and participated in fun social events including, bingo, cards, and Wii bowling. From 2011-2013 she lived at the Morgan Lane Village assisted living home in Tea, SD and most recently resided at the Bethany Nursing Home in Brandon, SD. Eva is survived by her sons, Warren Nitz of Las Vegas, NV; Steve Nitx, Las Vegas, NV; Jerry Nitz, Rapid City, SD; her sister, Ruth Kelley, Carson City, NV; 6 grandchildren, Lisa Waagmeester, Sioux Falls, SD; Amy Loger, Brandon, SD; Becky Terry, El Paso, TX; Kim Perales, Greely, Colorado; Kellie Nitz, Minneapolis, MN; Dakota Nitz, Las vegas, NV; 8 great grandchildren, Megan Loger; Natasha, Victoria and John Michael Perales; Hannah, Rachel, Alexander and Robert Terry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Matilda; husbands Orville and Merle; sisters, Faye, Ida and Ellys; brother, Marcus; son, John; daughter, Judy; daughter-in-law, Riki; son-in-law, Dale and granddaughter, Sarah. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.
