Description	:	Eva J. (Griffis) Kraft, 80, of Cozad died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at her home. Eva was born June 27, 1931, north of Willow Island to Virgil and Pearl (Fletcher) Griffis. Eva attended rural school at Willow Island. She married Harry P. Kraft Sr. and the couple made their home in Washington State and later returned to the Dawson County area, where they raised their 6 children. The couple later separated. (Griffis) Kraft, 80, of Cozad died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at her home. Eva was born June 27, 1931, north of Willow Island to Virgil and Pearl (Fletcher) Griffis. Eva attended rural school at Willow Island. She married Harry P. Kraft Sr. and the couple made their home in Washington State and later returned to the Dawson County area, where they raised their 6 children. The couple later separated. On October 9, 1967, Eva began working for the Cozad Police Department as a dispatcher, retiring on July 1, 1993 after over 25 years of service. Eva cherished her time in her garden. She also enjoyed reading, and working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Above all, she enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; son, Pastor Harry P. Kraft, Jr.; sisters, Ruth Carmell and Bobbie Kessler; brothers, Walter Griffis and Albert Griffis; and her former spouse, Harry P. Kraft, Sr. Survivors are: sons, Aaron of Ransom, Kan., and Sam of Libby, Mont.; daughters, Barbara Moler of Cozad, Ruthie Luallen of Liberal, Kan., and Susan Parra of Grand Island; sisters, Ruth Helfinfein, Mary Weber and Linda Downs; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Dawson County, NE. Published in Kearney Hub on July 1, 2011
