Description	:	Big Timber Pioneer, March 3, 2011 Eva Marie McBride died in her sleep on Feb. 27, 2011, at the age of 91. She was born in Wibaux, Mont., on Sept. 20, 1919 to Eddie and Hazel Hutchins. She was fourth in a family of six girls and one boy. Her family later moved to Billings where she graduated from Billings Senior High. She was born in Wibaux, Mont., on Sept. 20, 1919 to Eddie and Hazel Hutchins. She was fourth in a family of six girls and one boy. Her family later moved to Billings where she graduated from Billings Senior High. Ea worked at Woolworth's and operated her own business mending silk stockings during the World War II. She married Lewis McBride on Dec. 16, 1948. Eva and Louie ranched for many years in Two Dot. Eva was a wonderful cook and host many dinners for friends and family. In 1965, they moved to Kalispell where they started a car wash and gas station. Eva was a hard worker and helped Louie with the business. Like her mom and sisters, Eva was gifted with a green thumb and her flower gardens were always amazing. She loved to crochet and made many afghans and potholders over they years. Ceramics was another favorite hobby of hers. Eva and Louie made many fiends wherever they went. Eva always kept in tough through her letters and never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She had a special love for animals and children. She was the best grandma to her grandkids. She hardly ever said no and was always ready to join in the fun. Eva and Louie moved to big Timber in 1996 to be near family. Louie passed away in May 2009. Eva was a member of Eastern Star and the Boulder Valley Baptist Church. She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Hopple of Cody, Wyo.; her step-daughter, Marilyn Talkington; grandchildren Gail (Gary) Burmeister, Terry ( Michelle) Talkington and Todd (Marni) Talkington; great-grandchildren, Kris, Adrianne, Loren, Mara, Casey, Brittany, Jamie, Desiree and Julissa, 6 great-great-grandchildren, Hunter, Heath, Katelyn, Luke, Emmaya and Gage and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lewis; sisters, Cecil DuBeau, Effie Montee, Edith Ginther, Helen Clapper; and brother, Dwight Hutchins. Contributor: Julia Kinsey (48922386) •
