Description	:	Eva Boge, 81, of Charles City, died Monday (Jan. 31, 2005) at the Ninth Street Chautauqua Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City. A funeral Mass for Eva Boge will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Carl Ries, officiating. Burial will be in Beckwith Cemetery, rural Charles City. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City, with a 4:30 p.m. rosary and a Vigil Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Eva Susan Huckle Boge was born Dec. 13, 1923, at Le Mars, the daughter of Aloysius and Catherine (Bender) Huckle. She graduated from the Le Mars High School. On Sept. 2, 1947, she was united in marriage to Eugene Boge. They lived in North Buena Vista until 1949 when they moved to a farm north of Charles City, where they would spend their lives together. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Anthony's Circle and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Eva's interests included sewing, gardening and swimming. For a number of years she looked forward to spending their winters in Texas. Eva's family, however, meant everything to her and she made every effort to be a part of their lives. Living family members include three sons, Kenny (Pam) Boge of Orchard, Roger (Teresa) Boge of Klemme, and Gordon "George" (Janet) Boge of Charles City; three daughters, Linda (Bob) Dodd of Klemme, Teresa Boge of Charles City, and Norma (Eldon) Conyers of Des Moines; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Norma L. Boge of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Rita Harms of Le Mars; and a brother, Martin (Lou) Huckle of Le Mars. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on Nov. 12, 2001; a son Bernard "Barney" on Jan. 29 1994; a grandson, Benjamin Boge; a brother, Duke Huckle; and a brother-in-law, Alfred Harms.
