She was born Nov. 2, 1901, in Willard to Marion Francis and Susan Elizabeth Cosper Pyle. She married Alva Stevens on Feb. 8, 1919, in Ottumwa. He died July 1, 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Helen and Edith; a son, Ronald; a grandson; two sisters; and two brothers. Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Brooks Cemetery west of Ottumwa, with Order of Eastern Star officiating. Open visitation will begin after 10 a.m. today at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Ottumwa.
