Description	:	Evalene Flo (Lowther) Keesecker, 88, of 1172 Vadis Road, Alum Bridge passed away at 8:34 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at her residence, following an extended illness. She was born in Gilmer County on April 19, 1920; daughter of the late Robert Flarnt Lowther and Martha Ann (Keller) Lowther. On May 8, 1941, she married Lee Jackie Keesecker, who preceeded her in death on June 22, 1995. Read More	Evalene Flo (Lowther) Keesecker, 88, of 1172 Vadis Road, Alum Bridge passed away at 8:34 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at her residence, following an extended illness. She was born in Gilmer County on April 19, 1920; daughter of the late Robert Flarnt Lowther and Martha Ann (Keller) Lowther. On May 8, 1941, she married Lee Jackie Keesecker, who preceeded her in death on June 22, 1995. Mrs. Keesecker is survived by four children: Karen Shackleford and husband, Wilbert and Wanda Radcliff and husband, Hoy both of Linn, Burl Keesecker and wife, Karen of Glenville and Merle Shackleford and husband, Jesse of Alum Bridge. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Wanda Tomblin and Wendell, West Shackleford and Michelle, Rob Radcliff and Kelly, Susan Keith and Jeff, Jesse A. Shackleford and Amber, and Judy Cook, and Travis, and one step grandson: Kenny McWhirter and Kristi. She is survived by 12 great grandchildren: Amber, West, Ashley, Elainia and Alan Shackleford, Roberta and William Radcliff, Kathern Keith, Chasity Hicks, Cassie Cook, and Ryan and Dylan Tomblin and one step great grandchild: Keely McWhirter. Mrs. Keesecker is also survived by one special niece and caretaker: Juanita and Russell King and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Keesecker was a cook at the Vadis School. She was a member of the Vadis Fire Department Auxillary of Vadis. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 11 am, at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Alan Neal officiating. Interment followed in the Hiney Cemetery in Gilmer County. Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home of Weston is in charge of arrangements.
