Evaline Bartholomew Pillard was born at Marysville, Iowa on Nov 7, 1859 and passed away at her home in Hampton Nov 25, 1937 at the age of 78 years and 18 days. Evaline Bartholomew Pillard was born at Marysville, Iowa on Nov 7, 1859 and passed away at her home in Hampton Nov 25, 1937 at the age of 78 years and 18 days. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. At an early age, in the fall of 1873 she came as a pioneer to Hamilton county and on Cot 21, 1878 was united in marriage to Louis Eugene Pillard. To this union 10 children were born, 3 dying in infancy. Those remaining are Lucy Julian of Kalispell, MT; Emily Larsen of Broken Bow; Pearl Herbig, Marquette, Cora Thompson,Cedar Bluffs; Blanche Pringle, Grants Pass, Oregon; George of Denver, CO and Grace Lewis of Marquette. She also leaves one brother, Charley Bratholemew of Ericsen; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. While very young she was converted and became a member of the Christian Church which was then holding services in Lincoln Valley. Upon moving into her present home in Aurora she transferred her membership into the local FederatedChrch where she continued to worship as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of the W.R. C. Mr. Pillard passed away on March 14, 1935. Since that time Mrs. Pillard began to lose a portion of interest in this life and as her health began to fail she was anxiously awaiting the time when she too might go to her eternal home and be at rest.
