Clarence Buehler, pastor of the United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in the Aurora Cemetery. Casketbearers wee Gene George, Byron, Donald and Kenneth Herbig, John May and Gene Pillard. She was the daughter of Louis and Evaline Bartholomew Pillard. Her youth was spent on a frm near Hampton. Later, she moved into Hampton and then into Aurora, where she was graduated from high school. On June 8, 1921, she was united in marriage to Charles O. Lewis in Aurora. he preceded her in death in 1976. they lived in Marquette for 17 years, in Grand Island for a year and in Fullerton for four years. they then lived in Kearney for 30 years and in 1971, they moved to Florida. In 1973, they returned to aurora to make their home. She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and longtime member of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors includt two sons, Leland of Leesburg, FL and Dan of Arlington, VA; a daughter, Phyllis Meyen of Springfield, VA; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and a brother.
