J. and Matilda Mowry Madsen. She grew up and attended rural school in Adair County and later Casey High School. ..She was married Nov. 17, 1941 to Fred Christensen in Princeton, Mo. They lived south of Casey, Atlantic and Des Moines where they lived for several years before returning to Casey in 1961. ..Mrs. Christensen had been a homemaker and had worked at Meredith Publishing and Look Magazine for many years. She later worked at several jobs in Casey, including Jennie & Art's and the Rainbow Floral Shop. She was a member of the "Saddle Club" and enjoyed horses and riding, enjoyed cards, fishing and entertaining family and friends. ..Survivors include her husband, Fred Christensen; a son, Gary Christensen of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Rona Gayle Baer of Helena, Mont.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Madsen of Winterset and Bill Madsen of Cedar Falls; a sister, Norma Egger of Springfield, Mo.; nieces, nephews and other relatives. ..She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Ron Christensen in 1992; a sister, Dorothy Kimm; and a sister, Mary Lois in infancy. *********************** See her husband's memorial for a family picture. ***********************
