He grew up in Casey where he attended schools and graduated from Adair-Casey High School in 1962. ..He entered the Army and served in Vietnam. After his return from service he attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. He then worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha for 20 years before retiring. At the time of his death he was employed by the Nebraska Boys Sky Ranch Foundation. He had been a member of the V.F.W., Vietnam Veterans and Crippled Children's Associations. ..Survivors include his grandmother, Matilda Madsen of Adair; his parents, Fred and Evelyn Christensen of Casey; one brother, Gary Christensen of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Gayle Baer of Anchorage, Alaska; three children, Paula Janicek, Chris Christensen and Kristi Rose Christensen, all of Omaha; nieces and nephews. *********************** See Ron's Dad's memorial for a family picture. ***********************
