She was born on July 30, 1929 in Napoleon Township to the late Raymond and Mary (Dammann) Schweinhagen. She married Eldon Hastedt on October 2, 1949 and he preceded her in death on June 20 , 1998. Evelyn was a homemaker but enjoyed the time she worked at GC Murphey, The Charles Company, and The Napoleon Lutheran Home. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon where she was active in the Ladies Guild, Altar Guild, and helped with funeral... Read More	Evelyn M. Hastedt, 87, of Napoleon, Ohio died on June 15, 2017 at Genacross Lutheran Services, Napoleon Campus. She was born on July 30, 1929 in Napoleon Township to the late Raymond and Mary (Dammann) Schweinhagen. She married Eldon Hastedt on October 2, 1949 and he preceded her in death on June 20 , 1998. Evelyn was a homemaker but enjoyed the time she worked at GC Murphey, The Charles Company, and The Napoleon Lutheran Home. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon where she was active in the Ladies Guild, Altar Guild, and helped with funeral luncheons. She was a member of the German Club, and enjoyed gathering with her friends and playing cards, they were jokingly called "The Taylorette Card Club." She most enjoyed spending her time with her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Carey) Plummer; son, Bruce Hastedt; and daughter-in-law, Diane Hastedt all from Napoleon; 8 grandchildren; Paula Latta, Brian (Dea) Plummer, Alicia (Craig) Gossman, Anna (Brad) Musshel, Alex Hastedt, Branden (Sarah) Everson, Joe (Kim) Hastedt, Jillian (Shaun) Raugh; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Delores (Norman) Drewes, Lucille (Richard) Bell, and Janice (Gary) McMaster, all of Napoleon. She was preceded in death by her son, James L. Hastedt. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
