Read More	MISS EVELYN NELSON DIED LAST FRIDAY Had Been Confined To Home About Five Months SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS ATTENDED HER FUNERAL After a lingering illness of several months duration, Miss Evelyn Nelson, daughter of Mr. J. H. Nelson, died at her home on Broadway Friday morning of last week, aged 39 years. Miss Nelson had been a patient sufferer for a long time, and had been confined to her home for about five months. Her demise was not unexpected, but was none the less a great shock to her family and friends. She had been an active member of Immanuel M. E. church for years, taking part in the affairs of the younger people of the church, and contributing generously of her time and talents to that institution, and she had many friends both in and out of the church, and in nearby cities. The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at her home, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Ralph L. Minker, of Immanuel church, and was attended by members of her Sunday school class in a body. Mrs. Lucy Scott, of Onancock, Va., Mrs. Helen Chalmers, of Baltimore, Mr. and Mrs. George Nelson, of Baltimore, and Misses Florence, Emily and May Lawson, of Philadelphia, were present at the funeral also. The beautiful floral tributes and large number of persons present at the funeral attested to the very high regard in which this young lady was held by all who knew her. Interment was made in the family plot in Asbury cemetery. The pall bearers were Gordon Armstrong, John Bradshaw, Archie Tyler, Charles Richardson, Edgar Riggin, William Byrd. Miss Nelson is survived by her father, J. H. Nelson, four sisters, the Misses Grace, Henrietta, Billie Ray and Hetty Nelson, and three brothers, Paul, Solomon and John Nelson.
