Description	:	Evelyn Neva Boyd, 95, of Gering, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Her memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at Northfield Vila Chapel with Pastor Willie Coop officiating. A private family inurnment will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. There will be no visitation as she was cremated. Memorials may be given to WestWay Christian Church or to Northfield Villa. Gering Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. She moved to Gering, where Safeway Stores and the Gering National Bank employed her until she retired. She was a member of the WestWay Christian Church (Church of Bryant) for many years. Evelyn was a member of the Scottsbluff Business and Professional Women, National Association of Bank Women, Rebekah Lodge #340 and Western Nebraska Bank Women. Survivors include her sisters, June Williams and Dorothy (Bill) Layton both of Gering and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Charles W. Boyd and John Wesley Boyd, Jr; sisters, Tessa Schreiner, Nellie Plummer and Waleska Walker; and infant sister, Gladys.
